💥 Data Breach Response Guide
Data breaches happen to big companies regularly — your defense is how fast and correctly you react. Select what was exposed to get targeted actions, then work the universal checklist.
⚠️ Ethical Use Only: These tools are for defensive purposes — securing your own accounts and systems. Never use security knowledge against systems you do not own or lack written permission to test.

🔎 How to find out about breaches
- Reputable breach-notification services (e.g. Have I Been Pwned) let you check if your email appears in known breach datasets. Use well-known services only.
- Many password managers and browsers now warn you automatically when a saved login appears in a breach — turn those alerts on.
- Companies must notify affected users under laws like GDPR — don't ignore those emails (but verify them: navigate to the site yourself rather than clicking).
🛡️ Make the next breach boring
- Unique password per site (password manager) — one breach can't cascade.
- 2FA everywhere — stolen passwords alone become useless.
- Share less: every optional field you fill is future breach fuel. Skip what isn't required.
- Delete old accounts you no longer use — fewer copies of your data, fewer targets.
